I will say that every friend is different and we cannot expect all to be available for all things. We need to recognize who is comfortable with what and then we can depend on them for the cause. Yes, there will be a couple of friends who will do anything for you ( hard to come by, and only if we get lucky)Every friend is necessary. Keep all of them in your kitty.

After college, all my classmates joined Facebook and we became “facebook-friends”. One classmate moved to my city with her husband; we used to be hi-hello friends in college and on Facebook. We exchanged phone numbers and on the call, she called me by some other classmates' name, I let it go. Then she asked me to come down and help her to unpack and settle them. My response was immediate and friendly that she should ask her husband, it’s not my cup of tea. Guess what, she never called me again ☺ I had this feeling that people just want to use you, they don’t understand what friendship is.

She could have given me another chance; we could have become more than facebook-friend. Anyways, We are now in the LinkedIn circle.
